One more “Back to School” idea

Posted on: Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

School supplies are packed and ready to go, new lunch bags have been carefully selected and first day outfits are planned.  Everyone is ready for the first day of school and there is nothing else to do – BUT WAIT – maybe there is just one more thing you can do to ensure an especially great beginning for the academic year 2011 -2012.  Consider this unique way to get your children to introduce themselves to their new teacher.  Using your convincing way, suggest that they write an email or letter to tell the teacher a little bit about themselves.  They could include a short list of what they’re hoping to learn, suggest potential field trip ideas (of course supporting this list with reasons why they would be appropriate for the class), or write about what they did over the summer time.  I guarantee the teacher will be impressed – what a great way to start a new school year!
